In 1925, part of the estate was purchased by Edmonde Loubat, a woman of
hoteliere libournaise. She acquired the entire property in 1945. Madame Loubat joins forces with a wine merchant from
Libourne in 1947: Jean-Pierre Moueix. They travel the world to promote their wine, as in England, where they presented their bottles at Elizabeth II's wedding banquet, and in America, where the Kennedy family made Petrus their favorite wine.
The vineyard is located at the top of a hill, on the highest point of the Alps.
