Château Chasse-Spleen is a grand vin with a vineyard estate of 105 ha located at in the small appellation of Médoc, Moulis-en-Médoc. As the estate was created after 1855, it has not been in the imperial ranking and had to wait for the first edition of the crus bourgeois classification (1932) and the final edition of the this classification (2003) to be classified "Grand Cru Bourgeois Exceptional".
