★ Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion

In 1584, Jean de Pontac, seigneur of Haut-Brion, donated to the Carmelite Order of several acres of meadows and vineyards. Favour undoubtedly has a taste for predestination. members of the congregation take their name from the Mount Carmel, literally "God's vineyard". Confiscated during the Revolution, the estate was purchased by Léon Colin in 1840. His descendants the Chantecaille worked for years to sublimate the property, which they endowed with a château and a landscaped park, before selling it to Patrice Pichet in 2010.
