In 1697, the property was sold to Maître Simon Malescot, King's Counsel to the Bordeaux Parliament. The Malescot family owned the estate until the French Revolution. In 1827, Jean-Baptiste de Saint Exupéry, great-grandfather of the
the aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, acquired the property and decided to add his name to the château. In 1955, Paul Zuger and his son Roger bought the estate where it had never been.
only 7 hectares of vines remain. It will take them thirty years of effort to restore the panache of the Malescot coat of arms and its motto semper ad altum (meaning "always higher" in Latin). In 1997, Michel Rolland became the estate's consultant oenologist.
