Couvent des Jacobins

Built on one of Saint-Émilion's highest points, the Couvent des Jacobins was the object in 1389 a donation to the preacher brothers Dominicans, also known as "Jacobins". For nearly four centuries, visit religious have grown the vine, tie rod party vineyard of a remarkably exposed, the wines of the Couvent des Jacobins are exported at the time to the courts of England and France, and gradually recognized as some of the most characteristic wines of the appellation.
